I'm a domain-oriented software engineer and systems designer currently interested in multifunctional landscape design possibilities from a variety of professional and personal perspectives, including:

  • Design and planning: investigating design questions of understanding, intervening, and evaluating landscape configurations over time to promote long-term flourishing
  • Knowledge representation for systems with biological components: enriching understanding of current and potential organisms and ecosystems
  • Enjoyment, appeal, and attention: sharing the delight and importance of attending to and caring for the biological and ecological world we are a part of
  • Personal cultivation: enjoying more multi-functional spaces by introducing plants and tending to them

When employed, I really also place an emphasis on being there for people and what's currently needed, being adaptive, pragmatic, and attuned to the reality of the emerging situation.

In previous academic work, I explored discovery and planning processes in risk governance, engineering design, and strategic foresight. I'm still interested these topics and expect to do more with exploring design processes from a domain-driven design perspective.

The tagline for this page used to be "Information Systems for Infrastructure Governance and Natural System Stewardship", which is still right, but I'm now also interested in being welcoming, appealing, and present in addition to advertizing my interests, so that's what I chose to emphasize.

Outside of these interests, I enjoy reading, listening to music, podcasts, jogging, keeping up with friends, and just generally being here to enjoy life.

I can be reached on LinkedIn, Goodreads, Facebook, by email, and via other channels as appropriate.
